KAIROS, Inc. Carbon Fiber Polyetheimde (Ultem™) filament is crafted using a Sabic 9085 aerospace grade resin blended with Toray T800 chopped carbon fibers at ~10% by volume. Ultem™ 9085 is Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approved for Flame/Smoke/Toxicity applications, making it safe to use on aircraft. This filament provides superior strength and stiffness specially designed for the aerospace and defense industry. This filament is compatible with KAIROS, Inc. Click-to-Print™ software available on all of our 3D printer systems.

Enclosed Chamber

A 3D printer with an enclosed chamber is recommended for this filament

Nozzle Size

Using an extruder with a 0.5 mm or greater nozzle size is recommend for this filament

Layer Height

Using a layer height of 0.25 mm or greater nozzle size is recommend for this filament

Drying Time

Carbon Fiber Ultem filament should be dried at 120°C for at least 4 hours
